BarCamp: What’s it all about?
BarCamp is an ad-hoc unconference born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos and interaction from attendees.
- You do talk about BarCamp.
- You do blog about BarCamp.
- Meet new friends.
- Bring business cards.
- Tweet your feedback live.
- Only three word intros.
- No special dress-codes.
- Be enthusiastic.
Content is driven by the attendees.
That means that the people who sign up to attend the event are the ones who determine what the topics of the conference will be.
Other than the cost of lunch (and/or adult beverages), the event is produced at no cost to the attendee.
Did you get a lot of information at a session and want to continue the conversation? Grab a conversation table, write the topic you want to discuss and keep talking!
Can’t stay the whole day? Not a problem. Come when you can. Stay for as long as you can. Leave when you like. You set your own schedule for the day.
Interest based sessions.
BarCamps are special because, sessions are charted by attendees’s interest.
